What Spiritual Healing and Star Wars have in Common.
Unless you’ve been living off the grid, in the Amazon jungle, eating nothing but pine cones since the beginning of the seventies, you will be familiar with Star Wars. It is one of the world’s biggest movie franchises, featuring the classic tale of good versus evil.
However, what you may have failed to notice is that spiritual healing / energy rebalancing holds a number of similarities with the franchise and I wanted to outline them to you.
Source…. I mean the Force
Throughout the films, you will hear a variety of characters referring to ‘The Force’ and it is described by Obi Wan Kenobi in the original (or fourth) film as “…An energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us; it binds the galaxy together.”
At Omnes, they refer to a very similar force that they call ‘Source’, although over the years it has been called many different things by many different healers. Source is the energy of All That Is and is sometimes referred to as the Source of Unconditional Love, which flows through the universe.
The Jedi
The Star Wars films are largely based around key characters who are or become Jedi. These Jedi can manipulate The Force and use it to give them strength to perform amazing feats such as move objects with their minds, jump from moving space ships onto others, and even speak to each other across astral planes
To look at healers as Jedi may be a little farfetched, especially since the whole prospect of a healer manipulating Source for their own needs is a long way from the truth. Rather, healers effect a flow of Source energy to where it is most needed by others. But the ability to interact with Source to help further positivity in the world is certainly a similarity. There are even Jedi healers.
Midi-chlorians
In the fourth (or first) film Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) mentions Midi-clorians, which are microscopic life forms that live inside the cells of all living things and when enough of them are present can show how abundant the force is in that individual. E.g. A huge amount were found in Anakin Skywalker, who was Luke Skywalker’s Dad.
This too I feel is like the aura of people, where different colours symbolise different moods, feelings or even personalities. Our auras can be read by people and can be large or small. We can regularly feel our auras too, for example, if anyone has ever invaded your personal space but not actually touched you. You feel this, it may not feel comfortable, but you do feel it, without necessarily being physically touched by the person doing it.
The Dark Side
Most successful film franchises are a story of good versus evil, and in Star Wars comes the dark side in the form of the Sith Lords, who use the corporate forces of The Empire to rule over the galaxy. Similarities between the Empire and our modern corporate world increasingly gaining power over people aside, a healer is likely to encounter their own demons and those of others on their spiritual journey.
Omnes teaches how important it is to only interact with clients in the right frame of mind and to spend time working on themselves before healing others.
I’ve heard many a tale of healers removing powerful, negative entities affecting clients that, once removed, leave them feeling like a weight has been lifted.
Lightsabres
Finally, lightsabres are the weapon of choice of any Jedi, it is a sword like device with a laser beam instead of a blade.
At Omnes, they provide all qualified members with a lightsabre….. Only joking, but that would be so cool if they did.
So, the next time you watch Star Wars, have a think about any other similarities you may find between the Force and Source, because although there are no real Jedi, there are real spiritual healers who are always willing to guide you and talk to you.
I say there are no Jedi, but I’d like to point out according to the 2011 UK census, my religion is Jedi…. So, I’ll leave that one with you.
