What Is Geopathic Stress? Should You Be Worried About It?
Stress can come from any number of sources, including life challenges and day to day activities, particularly if they are new situations. However, there are other natural sources to consider which can arise from the energy of the earth itself.
The idea that the Earth has its own energy frequencies and can therefore give off good and bad vibes has been around for many years. We’ve just forgotten how to live alongside them. Many people disregard the studies to prove Geopathic Stress as ‘non-sense’. But I’m sure many of us get a feeling in our gut when a place has good energy or bad energy.
In this modern fast paced world, we live our lives without considering what we cannot see with our eyes. Some of these stresses can be geological or man-made features underneath our towns, villages or even our home.
Geopathic Stress (GPS) occurs when the Earth gives off a certain energy vibration that’s disrupted by underground features, including:
- tunnels (natural or manmade)
- sewers
- geological faults
- pipes
- mineral deposits
- utility lines
- underground water
Commonly reported Symptoms
Living above one of these areas of energy disturbance, according to this theory, is said to cause a range of physical and psychological symptoms. Simply passing through one of these areas is not likely to have a negative impact, but consider if we sleep in an area where we are constantly bathing in this negative energy.
The following symptoms are said to indicate GPS on us humans:
- drowsiness and fatigue
- trouble sleeping
- persistent headaches or migraines
- impaired immune system
- numbness or tingling in hands and feet
- brain fog or trouble focusing
- unexplained low mood
- unusual changes in emotions or personality
- conflict between family members or roommates
- for more serious systems we may experience diseases or cancer
We may also see signs appearing in nature or animals, such as trees growing in strange directions to avoid an energy field, or strange behaviour in your garden such as ant’s nests in one area. Cats are said to like GPS areas to lay on, whereas dogs tend not to like the area.
If you’re concerned about GPS in your home it’s a good idea to spend time away, maybe with a friend, to see if your symptoms ease. You might also check for other household hazards, such as carbon Monoxide or a build-up of mould in an unventilated room.
I think it’s also useful to consider Electromagnetic Field radiation (EMFs) alongside Geopathic Stress. EMFs can be caused by Geopathic stress, but also electrical equipment, WIFI, smart meters, etc give off potentially harmful energies and produce positive EMFs – depleting oxygen and putting additional stresses on our bodies.
Is it real?
The Earth does have an electromagnetic field but according to the Government there’s no evidence that exposure to low-frequency electromagnetism plays any part in the development of health conditions.
It’s a personal view but sometimes it’s just useful to trust your gut!
Next time we’ll look at ways to help with the effects of GPS and EMFs.
